Just a little over a year of owning the iPhone 4S my battery suddenly could only hold a charge for a few hours. It quickly declined until it could not hold a charge at all. My mobile phone was no longer mobile ... I had to plug it in to use it even to just send a text
Mijn oplossing
Th repair was fast and simple. I watched the ifixit tutorial before even ordering a battery to make sure I would be able to fix it as I don't have any experience doing repairs for anything. After consulting every tech savvy person I knew, I realized that most people dont even know that the iPhone battery can be changed or they think it's a massive risky process so I disregarded any advice I got besides that of the website. Thank goodness, because my phone had a whole new life in just about 15 minutes. Everything went smoothly and I couldn't be happier.
Mijn advies
Make sure you do your repair in a well lit area with a large surface to work on. If you are clumsy or don't pay attention to detail very well, it might be a good idea to have 2 extra screw sets, one for the outside of the phone and one for the inside. Also, before you unscrew your battery, look to see where thid tiny black piece with a bit of gold on it is (it will be right beside one of the battery screws). Remembering the orientation of this is the only tiny complication. In the tutorials it can be hard to see, so look at it's placement beforehand and you will have nothing to worry about.
Lastly, order the little tool kit from ifixit so that you have everything you need when the battery arrives.
