Mijn probleem
Original battery was not holding its charge very well and I was getting erratic readings from the battery status meter. After, repeated calibrations, I figured I needed a new battery
Mijn oplossing
It went well. I was nervous as heck opening my phone. It was very difficult to get the display off. I had to apply more pressure than I though to even barely get one corner to lift enough to get the plastic pry tool under it. I thought I could remove the battery without removing the display completely but then realized it would be in the way so I took it off. There are a couple of metal shields by the battery connector. I started backing one of the screws out and realized it was the wrong one. When I screwed it back in, I felt it wasn't seated well enough so I kept twisting it until it started free spinning. To my horror, I have broken off the captive nut welded to the board underneath and there wasn't anything I could do it fix it. Luckily, there is a second screw that holds that shield in place so I am hoping only having the one screw doesn't cause an issue. It was pretty challenging to pry the battery from its adhesive. Once it was out, i put the new one in and reassembled. Luckily, the phone powered on just fine and I haven't had any issues. Pretty nervous about that screw though.

Be careful tightening those screws! They don't take much to break. For prying the battery out, follow the guided and put the plastic pry tool exactly where shown in the pictures.
