Excellent, but tricky

Mijn probleem

Hard Drive crashed. It was one covered by Apple recall, but they did not have the serial # on file, so wanted $200 for the repair. Ended up with a larger drive for less!

Mijn oplossing

Repair went well for the drive, however there are two wires holding the display panel that are finnicky. I managed to pull one connector from the motherboard and had to resolder it. Very small.

Mijn advies

Do not lift the display by more than 2 inches to pull the first cable, and 3 inches for the second (main buss). Could be a little clearer in iFixit's video and instructions (or I needed to pay closer attention to the big red exclamation mark!).
