Mijn probleem

My iPhone 3GS ("White iPhone")needed a new battery. I purchased the iFixit battery in April, but I didn't get to changing the battery until September.

Mijn oplossing

The instructions were quite simple (and I had replaced a battery in another iPhone last year ("Black iPhone"), using iFixit, and it works great). This time, the installation was not a success.

I retraced my steps, but still, the White iPhone was not recognizing the battery. I searched the forums, and tried the Home/Power button whilst connected to the computer. Nothing.

So I figured the battery had lost all its charge and was not functioning.

Just to make sure, I took the batteryI had replaced last year from the Black iPhone, and then installed it in the White iPhone. It worked just fine.

I then installed the non-working battery in the Black iPhone. Now, the computer would not recognize the Black iPhone.

Confirmation that the battery I had ordered in April, but not installed until September was no longer viable.
