2GB RAM + video editing = speed of smell ...6GB instead = speed of light-ish!
Mijn probleem
I was trying to edit video using the Camtasia program. My computers' installed 2GB of RAM was way too slow - lagging and freezing - to allow practical use of the software. So, I opted to expand my MacBookPro #A1260 to 6GB of RAM.
Mijn oplossing
Easy... After you remove the RAM shield the computer practically offers the installed RAM to you.
I just used the pointed ends of a couple spudgers to move the metal clips holding down each RAM chip. The assembly holding the chip is spring-loaded and flips forward, allowing you to remove or install memory.
I removed two 1GB RAM chips and installed a 2GB chip and a 6GB chip. They worked upon reboot without any problems.
Mijn advies
None what-so-ever... installation guide was perfect.
