Mijn probleem

Recently some water got spilled directly on my Macbook keyboard. Not too much, but enough that certain keys on the keyboard were not working. Other than that, it seemed the laptop was running fine.

Mijn oplossing

The repair was easy. Just make sure to read each step before just doing them using the pictures. There are little steps that you might forget like feeding cables through the back of the case when putting in the new keyboard that might need you to undo and redo steps.

Mijn advies

When this first happened I scheduled an appointment at an Apple store for my aging laptop. When I got there and explained my problem to the "Genius" he said that they can't repair things like keyboards in the store and that they would need to send it to Apple for repairs. He then proceeded to tell me that it would cost $1200 to repair the Macbook Pro....... Well, I said "Thank you very much" and then turned right around and walked out.

Point is, if this happens to you, don't go to Apple for help. All they want to do is sell you a new laptop, not help. I ended up paying $100 and some of my time instead of $1200.
