I followed the guide to upgrade my Late 2012 Mac Mini and the install went flawlessly. It took less than an hour.
Mijn advies
I have used iFixit guides in the past and all have gone very well. One thing I would suggest is to print out the guide and as each step is completed tape the screws and other pieces for that step on the paper next to the step to remove it. It keeps the little parts from getting lost or installed in the wrong place.
