Mijn probleem
I wanted a Vertex 3 SSD boot drive for my brand new mac mini 2011 i7 with maxed RAM.

Using my new mac mini to type this. Process went smoothly. It took about an hour or so.

If I had to do this again, I would connect the hard drive io cables to the logic board when the logic board was mostly reinserted instead of waiting until the board was fully inserted when putting things back together. When the board is fully inserted, the cables are a bit more difficult to reattach.
Also, though I see 20/20, I am getting a bit older so I would have opted for a larger lighted magnifying glass to see all the _tiny_ parts! The one I was using just wasn't up to the job.
Though not very high tech, I used a silicone muffin pan I borrowed from my wife to keep the various fasteners in order, working my way through the muffin holes left to right as I tore the thing down and then right to left when reassembling. It made the job less stressful and I was certain I was using the correct fastener for the step.
