Mijn probleem
My 2 year old iPhone 3GS battery died. I tried updating firmware as I'd heard that might fix the problem. But it had been holding less and less of a charge as the past few months went on.

The repair itself went fine. The written detailed replacement guide on this site was very helpful.
Unfortunately, the first battery iFixit sent was defective. That happens. I emailed their service department that night and they overnighted me a replacement at no cost the next day. The new battery is installed and working wonderfully.

The video guide was excellent as well but there was one small yet important detail it could use.
When removing connector #3, Be sure to lift up the small tab holding the ribbon cable in place. DO NOT just yank the cable out. Also, it will be near impossible to get back in if this tab is still down.
