Mac mini upgrade

Not really a problem, I had a bright new Apple Mac Mini that just needed a speedy new SSD to complement it.

Mijn oplossing

I bought a 2.3 GHz i7 4 core model to complement an Apple Mac Book Air 13' and having got used to the snappy performance from the SSD I decided the Mac Mini needed an upgrade. The upgrade kit made the job easy. So with the excellent iFixit video playing on the MBA and with a printout of the iFixit guide beside me on the desk everything went to plan, well nearly. I had to reinstall the power supply to get the white power light to work after the first attempt. The most difficult part was re-connecting the antenna plate connector. The only minor issue was when I found the iFixit tool kit had 2 T5 screw bits and no T6! - however I was lucky to have a spare one to hand. I installed a Kingston 128GB V200 drive (great price) and my Geekbench results are 11831. I am delighted with the upgrade and congratulations on a great kit.
