Mijn probleem

I lost the Audio on my Macbook Air about two years now. I tried to reinstall the OS and I opened the computer to see if everything was ok. It's my travel computer so i thought it will be some loose cable or bolt. Even with all the checks and searching on the internet it didn't work so I decided to use a Bluetooth earphone meanwhile I go to the apple store to get it repaired.

Finally I decided to go there and they asked me to change the whole logicboard as the soundboard is attached to it, for only 320 euros.

Then I found the repair that another of your customers in Spain did on a forum and decided to give it a try.

Mijn oplossing

Really easy. The cable arrived in just one week in Spain. I went to a 1 Euro store and bought a set of screwdrivers for 2'9 Euros. Opening the laptop and cleaning the fan was the most time consuming task, removing the speaker and the batteries is easy. You have to be careful when removing the old cable not to make a hole in the plastic. It takes me no more than 15 minutes.

Mijn advies

Use the correct screwdrivers it will avoid deforming the head of the screws, I'm sure apple will charge a good money for them to be replaced.
