Mijn probleem
bluetooth and wifi were suffering considerable decrease in reception quality. there were many wi-fi-less corners of the house and my arriva bluetooth headset was unbearably choppy. my iphone was no longer under warranty and the issue actually became worse after i went to apple to address a cracked back panel. they swapped the phillips screws over to their secret 5-point screws at that time, then basically told me i should get a new phone when i went back in to enquire about deteriorating wifi & bluetooth.
i read through many forums and it seemed that many people had successfully improved performance by removing and reinstalling the wi-fi component. i wanted to give this a try and ifixit's liberation kit allowed me to do this.
Mijn oplossing
repair went very well. i removed the bottom screws and opened the phone up. unscrewed the wi-fi component per ifixit's instructions, then reinstalled it - also per their instructions. everything is working great now! only thing that isn't fixed is my frustration with apple. never been a problem before, but i must say this one has really !#^&@@ me off.

much thanks, ifixit. very impressed with your tools, website and mantra. i found it funny that ifixit sells you the screwdriver and the original phillips screws - once you have the 5-point screwdriver and can get into your device as needed, why change the screws back to phillips? however, after going through the frustration with apple, i am glad to have those two tiny little phillips screws... gives me a content IN YOUR FACE, APPLE feeling :)
