Mijn probleem
So, my PS3 got the YLOD, unfortunately. For one year, I did not play my PS3. I was deciding whether to get rid of it and buy a new one, or to fix it.
After thinking about it, I decided to fix it instead. Seeing as how a Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 Bundle is going for $1200.00 on either Amazon or eBay, I thought it would be cheaper to fix it. I could have gone for the Slim PS3 Model, but I love my Metal Gear PS3 too much to get rid of it.

Anyways, got the Repair Kit from ifixit, read the manual, and even watched the YouTube tutorial.
I was amazed at how quickly it was repaired. Aside from the 3-hour labor I endured (Took pictures so I wouldn't lose place of where each screw belonged), it wasn't that hard to remove the old thermal paste and add the new one.
Now, I broke the Power/Eject Ribbon Cable by accident, so I had to buy it on eBay. Once I got that, popped in the Ribbon Cable, put everything back in its place, pressed the Power Button, and saw my PS3 rise from the ashes. Amazing!! Thank you so much for the help!! You are awesome!!
Mijn advies
Careful with the cables. They're all attached to parts that lock them into place. Before removing the cables, make sure to unlock it so the cables or locks aren't broken. Also, make sure you either take plenty of pictures or record it on video, to remember where each screw belongs.
