Bluetooth/WiFi antenna replacement is a success!

Mijn probleem

While replacing a broken screen the Bluetooth/WiFi antenna was damaged and the WiFi signals were only half as strong as they should be.

Mijn oplossing

Purchased a new Bluetooth/WiFi antenna and following the detailed instructions at iFixit.com had no problems making the repair. Thank you for the great guides with the detailed pictures.

Mijn advies

While removing the screen use the opening tool to get the guitar pick under the left side. (I used a cut up cool-whip lid) While heating the glass with a heat gun push this pick up the left edge separating the adhesive. Place other picks along the newly separated sections. Use the pick as a separation tool DO NOT USE THE OPENING TOOL TO PRY THE ADHESIVE LOOSE!! Save the area to the right of the home button for LAST! This way you can open the iPad just enough to see the Bluetooth/WiFi antenna thus ensuring you can manage separating it from the screen without any damage. Sure wish I had this advice BEFORE damaging my Bluetooth/WiFi antenna. Remember heat the screen as you go, pushing the pick through the adhesive separating the screen from the case and deal with the Bluetooth/WiFi antenna area last.
