My laptop would often freeze up (bringing out the color wheel of death) and required a hard reset. I had to do something...

Mijn oplossing

...So, I decided to make the jump and replace the hard drive with the Seagate 750 GB Upgrade Kit and also upgrade the RAM to 6 GB while I was at it. Honestly, I was hesitant to play doctor on my macbook pro but after watching the video tutorials and reading the guide a few times, I felt confident. The process went smoothly with the only glitch happening when I first tried to clone my drive with SuperDuper! and it had some, 'file directory not found' issues. After relaunching SuperDuper! it ran like a champ. Once the files were copied the actual drive swapping process was relatively painless. The iFixit screwdriver kit and spudger were sufficient tools for the job and I was in and out with a new hard drive in under 30 minutes.

Give yourself a looooong amount of time for SuperDuper! to clone your drive and make sure to pay attention to the detailed instructions and tutorial videos.
