New fan fixed my video anomalies

Mijn probleem

I was getting lines and small graphics anomalies along with increasingly frequent freezes and crashes of my poor MacBook Pro. The fans seemed to be running a lot, and finally I installed smcFanControl and saw that one was dead. Elsewhere I read that the video card in my MacBook is prone to failure when hot.

Mijn oplossing

I dove in and soon realized I needed to organize all the various screws I removed by step # - luckily I had a bunch of small dishes nearby. The only part I wasn't certain about was replacing the bits of tape I removed. I decided to put a piece of clear packing tape on the fan base where it seals to the vent.
