Fixed the display...my ipod works again.

Mijn probleem

I had a broken ipod (the display was broken because i sat on it accidentaly) since two years ago. I never considered repairing it because i didnt know it was even possible.

Mijn oplossing

The case opening was pretty easy but before i realized how to do it the opening tools got a little bit damaged (edges used). After case opening i disconnected batery and headphones without any problem. After this i tried to disconnect hard disk from the disk side but i didnt get it...i broke the plastic tool..ups. I decided to continue without removig hard disk. Then i removed the screws of the frame and the screen without any problem. Changed the screen and connect everything again. The Ipod works! incredible.

When i closed case again there is a litle curve in the connector side...i dont know why but the case is not perfectly closed as it was.

Mijn advies

1- When opening the case try to do lever in both directions, you will soon see that there is one direction that works and does not break the tool, this is the right one.

2-You can operate connectors with your nails. Be carefull with plastic tools they are not so sharp and can be easily broken.

3- YOU dont need to remove hard disk to change the display.
