Easy

Mijn probleem

I was running out of hard drive space....had already deleted everything I could and was down to about 5gig of free space

Mijn oplossing

So smooth and easy. Not a computer whiz by any stretch, so I watched the tutorial videos several times before just to make sure I had a basic understanding of what to expect.

Mijn advies

I knew my challenge would be the cloning process....so I downloaded Super Duper and followed the step by step instructions on the ifixit you tube video via my iPad...pausing and starting when needed.

The first video is the screen you get with the "copy now" button...I did that and went about my business and about 3 hours later i came back and nothing had changed....I thought it was odd, so I googled, how long the process should take and was getting all kinds of different answers, but felt like something wasn't right...I felt like there should be a progress bar to indicate how the process was going....SOMETHING. So by accident, I somehow clicked out of the program after about 4 hours and when I restarted it, I guess I somehow did something a little different, because this time I got a totally different window after the copy now window that explained how the cloning was going. See photos ...so after stumbling across this huge mis step, the cloning process took 3 hours and 7 minutes and i could see the progress the whole time. Changing the hard drive was extremely easy...took maybe 10 minutes, but i have the macbook A1278 and the hard drive sits right beside the battery.

Unfortunately, this program isn't letting me drag my photos, but I had screen shots of what you should be seeing when the actual cloning is going as it should.
