Made the Boss Man happy

Mijn probleem

My boss was complaining about his iPhone 3GS battery life. While the phone showed an 80% battery life, after 1-3 minute of use it would shut down. The only way he could use the phone without it shutting down was to always have it plugged into a power source while in use. My boss doesn't have much technology based knowledge so he came to me (a 28 year old female marketing director) and requested I fix it for him.

Mijn oplossing

The kit arrived on time, however I was a little grossed out by the single curly black hair I found amongst the packaging peanuts (gross!) After I got over the little curly - I unpacked the kit and got to work. In about 20 minutes the phone was fixed and I had graduated to "genius" status with my boss. (Which is always a good thing)

Mijn advies

Have a printed copy of the instructions and the "how to" video close by. I laid out the inside screws exactly how they came out of the phone to ease the process of putting it back together. Also, the "do not remove" sticker completely ripped in half when I tried to carefully pull it back as instructed. I did panic when it first happened but realized later it wasn't a big deal. Just take your time and don't lose any screws and you'll be fine.
