The repair went very well! I was intimidated initially, but I dived in and followed your instructions to the letter. Watched the video multiple times, walked through the entire repair, then opened my phone and got to it.

Mijn advies

To keep track of parts, I put every screw onto a small piece of double sided sticky tape and labeled the paper underneath. I was tempted to follow some "shortcuts" posted by others, but I decided to follow iFixit's directions to the letter, and it worked out well. One of the battery adhesive strips tore so I had to warm the back of the phone with a hair dryer and use a credit card to pry the battery free. A pain, but it worked eventually. When reconnecting those tiny flat connecters (battery to phone and those 4 connections near the top of the phone), be patient and work from the side of the connector. You will feel that satisfying little "click" when the pieces are connected. Don't force this step, be patient, because you might bend something. It would be helpful for iFixit to post how to recycle used batteries in a more prominent spot on their web site. And don't throw them in the trash! If it's been damaged the battery could start a fire.
