Mijn probleem

My WIFI stopped working on my Macbook Pro 15" Early 2011.

Actually it lost connection within 5 - 30 minutes and the WIFI-Symbol turned to "No Hardware installed"

After trying

- NVRAM/PRAM reset

- restart in safe boot mode

- full reinstallation of my system

I went to an apple store. Those guys ran their system test on my MacBook Pro and figured out, that there is a hardware error in a part of my "wifi-module". Unfortunately they cant tell you if its the airport card, the cable, the antennas or any other part.

Therefore I replaced the Airport card first and it worked for around a day before the problems where back. So I ordered another Airport card AND the cable replaced both parts at the same time and IT WORKED!

Therefore I highly recommend you to replace both parts together because you don't know if a broken cable might destroy your card again or vice versa.

Mijn oplossing

I am used to work with electronics so it was not a problem for me. For unexperienced or clumsy users I would not recommend to do it yourself.

Mijn advies

I highly recommend you to replace both parts together because you don't know if a broken cable might destroy your card again or vice versa.
