Great kit to pump a little more life into my 2012 15'' MBP Retina

Mijn probleem

My stock MacBook Pro Battery was losing its charge capacity - even after recalibrating the battery, it would constantly go to sleep after 35 percent charge remained. This was the best option for a DIY'er.

Mijn oplossing

The repair went pretty well. I decided not to take apart the entire MacBook and leave the speakers, logic board, etc inside the machine. I took care to make sure that the solution would not taper down to the opposite end by the logic board. I took my time and let the solution set in. Slowly but forcefully wedged the plastic cards behind each battery.

Mijn advies

When cleaning off the old adhesive, remember to get as much off as possible, especially under the trackpad. I left a little under there and almost lost the clicking functionality of the trackpad. I did not have to take anything apart to get the click functionality back. I massaged the trackpad as the battery was charging and warming up. I believe once the battery was settled into place, the old adhesive got "less thick" and then I was able to get the clicking functionality back on the trackpad. It was a small scare though.
