Mijn probleem

Trackpad would not click easily and my finger started to hurt due to excessive force I was using to click without even realizing it. Did some research over the year and I came across a youtube vid where someone had the same problem and said it was an indicator of a swollen battery. After a year of researching I finally found the one video that gave the root cause. Apple Store of course is a hassle and costly. When I opened up my MacBook Pro, the batteries where not only swollen, they were liquified in the packets. Mac OS X gave no indications of any problem with the battery, only my trackpad would not click correctly. My MacBook Pro is like new again!

Mijn oplossing

Easy...I skipped some steps as I didn't remove the mainboard. I put the MB Pro at an angle so any of the glue solvent would drip down towards the front. It dries relatively quickly.

Mijn advies

If your trackpad doesn't click, your batteries are swollen. I also used the string technique, instead of the plastic card, to remove the glued batteries. Extremely easy after letting the solvent set for 5 to 10 minutes.
