Two problems with my phone: My power button wasn’t working at all; couldn’t use it to lock or unlock my phone. Separately, my battery would only last 4 minutes on a 100% charge. I decided to replace both parts in a single repair.
The repair was very easy and straightforward. The tools provided in the repair kit made it much easier. My phone’s power button now operates as if it were brand new and my battery life is back to what it was when I first got the phone.
Following the steps and keeping the screws organized while progressing through each step. I drew on a blank white piece of paper, making a box for each step. Then I would place the screws inside the drawn box and number the box to match the step I was performing. I ended up with the correct amount of screws when I finished the repair.
I could have done the repair faster but I went Very slow to make sure I did it perfectly. It took over 2 hours but I could have done it in an hour if I rushed. I’m glad I took my time as the phone came out perfect.
FYI: If your power button isn’t working, you must replace the Power Button Cable. Simply replacing the button won’t address the worn out Cable.
