Replaced Battery on Macbook Air 13" (Mid 2013)
Old Battery was losing power too quickly (2 hours).
The guide has some good info on how to remove the battery. I did have some issues securing the battery with the screws. The two 2.4 mm T5 Torx screws were difficult to line up. I started the
Three 6.3 mm T5 Torx screws just slightly to secure the battery to the case and then had to shift the battery a bit to get the smaller screws lined up and secure.
I purchased the replacement battery from We Love Macs and it actually came with the tools required for the repair. I wish I knew that before I bought both tools through iFixit, would have saved me $25 on a $200 repair job.
Also, the New battery came with plastic protection sheets on the 4 cells, which I wasn't sure if I should remove. There was a warning sticker that indicated that removing the sheets voids the warranty but I removed a sheet anyway before I thought better of it and replaced it. I secured the battery, replaced the cover and started up my mac and it started up right away. I guess it should've have been obvious but would have been nice if there was some information on the guide that the battery might come with these.
