Changing the battery on the i Phone 6s Plus
Phone running very slow, battery had over 750 charging cycles and needed to be charged 3 to 4 times a day.
Had a little trouble with the removal of the two 3.4 mm Pentalobe screws on either side of the Lightning port. Because on the hardware set received, it comes with 3 different tips for the screw driver, two of them being philips tips and since not specified on the manual or video, which one to use, was using the wrong one.
Then, did not connect the cables correctly on the 1st try and the phone would not turn on. After a second attempt everything went well.
Last but not least, removing the glue strips attached to the battery was my biggest challenge, two of them ripped and had to force the battery out of the phone.
Only issue is that the manuals and video, do not instruct you on how to secure the battery again with the 3 glue strips and the seal kit for the phone edges that come with the hardware. Nevertheless very satisfied with the results.
Make sure you use the correct screw tip to use for each piece of hardware you are going to remove. I had to go to a local service aftermarket shop for advice.
Additionally, you need a lot patience to remove the glue strips that attach the battery to the phone.
