replacing iPhone 6 battery was a good experience

Mijn probleem

I heard news story about Apple slowing down iPhones due to older battery performance. After reading iFixit's reporting and proposed fix (repair kit), I decided to take action and that I could take action.

Mijn oplossing

I followed the repair guide carefully and overall the repair went according to the guide. The iPhone powered back up as expected.

Mijn advies

Two areas that I think need emphasis: (1) before attaching adhesive to the new battery, form the flat cable to match the shape of the old battery, this makes re-attaching to the connector easier; (2) the adhesive is stretchier and more springy than I expected and it would be easy to make mistakes attaching the adhesive.
