Yet again, another broken electronic from a kid that doesn't listen to the rules

Mijn probleem

My son broke his screen on it because he did not follow our instructions of leaving it in the case to protect it. We let him be without it for a few months to hopefully hit home the fact the cost of stuff and that when you are told to do something for protecting stuff... that you do it and don't question what you have been told, when you don't understand and think your way is better than someone who does know and is in charge.

Mijn oplossing

It went as easy as I expected it to. The hardest part was cracking open the case to avoid any more cosmetic damage.

Mijn advies

As long as you have patience and the right tools, (a variety of good spudgers, pry tool, esd tweezers, & screwdriver/bits that fit) you will be golden. Time is on your side, don't rush. Watch videos if you have not done it before so you can get an idea. Also last piece of advice. Buy the whole display assembly vs, The screen glass/digitizer. Yes you can replace just that, but that is a bit more difficult than the cost difference really warrants for a diy fixer upper.
