Mijn probleem
I ordered a Mac Mini to serve as my HTPC. It was time to replace my (still fairly new, but difficult to use) Windows 7 HTPC. I didn't want to pay for the upgraded version, and besides, I couldn't get the specs I would have wanted. So I did it myself.
Mijn oplossing
The repair went perfectly. I followed the guide and replaced the main Mini drive with an OCZ Vertex 2. Then I added a 1TB platter drive as a secondary backup, for storing media files. I went ahead and added some additional RAM while in there as well. Everything worked beautifully!
Mijn advies
In one of the steps the guide describes disconnecting one of the cables to remove the wifi antenna (I think). It wasn't clear at first that the cable was supposed to come "up"... I kept trying to pull it "out", or sideways. Perhaps the guide could make that more clear, but don't hurt the cable (like I almost did) pulling it the wrong way. Also, be patient getting the drives back into the enclosure... that's a tiny little space for 2 drives, and you want to make sure they're both in the rubber grommets.
