My battery was dying quickly and unexpectedly and I hated the thought of paying a lot to fix it, having to do without my phone for several days, or getting a new phone. In general I like to give things at least one good DIY try before calling an expert. I’ve got about a 50% success rate with this approach so thought why not?

Mijn oplossing

It was hard but I’m used to the first time doing something new being hard so I was prepared for that and set aside ample time. The videos were extremely helpful and I had three windows open as I worked: the battery replacement video, the written guide, and the other one about when the adhesive strips break, which they did. The only truly difficult part was getting the bracket over the home screen cable into place. It was just tricky to manoever it and I dropped the bracket about 100 times, leading to a lot of cursing, to the delight of my husband and kids. Overall, though, I was very happy with the process of doing this myself, and I do feel like a phone-repairing badass. If I run into any more fixable issues I’ll definitely look at your website first.

You might already have this but a kind of troubleshooting page in a prominent place would be good. I found the page- about when the adhesive strips break - by accident but don’t know if I’d have found it if I looked.
