Mijn probleem

My original battery wasn't holding much of a charge and it was taking forever to recharge so I thought it was time for a new battery and I believe that paying $111 was better than paying apple $200+ to repair.

Mijn oplossing

I followed the instructions step by step and thought it went well. I did notice that the instructions said there were 4 torx screws in one step and the computer actually had rubber stoppers but other than that I thought the repair went fine. I was nice and slow and methodical with the computer and the instructions.

The computer boots up fine but when I tried to login I noticed that one of the keys on the keyboard wasn't working. Over the next hour more keys stopped working and now I have about 10 keys on the keyboard that stopped. I took it to Apple and now I've gotta pay $475 for them to ship it off and repair the motherboard and keyboard. It seems like incredible timing that the problems started minutes after booting up with the new battery. I suspect that Apple will say something about the new battery once they ship it off. I know that it's a 'buyer beware' kind of repair but i'm a little frustrated and disappointed. I should have just paid the extra to have Apple fix it.

Mijn advies

Be prepared-anything can happen
