My battery needed to be replaced since it was dying HELLA FAST! Plus there's a notification in the battery section of settings.

Mijn oplossing

Opening was a piece of cake! The first hurdle was the battery removal, one tab came out perfectly, the other... well I had to like 3 of the "giant guitar picks" from the essential electronics toolkit to remove the adhesive. I became so clammy cuz I was afraid the battery might bend too much and start to smoke which i was ready to throw in my trash and take it outside. Once removed, smooth sailing again... until my display had weird lines and not all of the screen was responding to my fingers. This is where the majority of my time went; opening the phone up again, removing the ribbons and trying to place it back into the F!$@#$ing ports... OMFG, kill yo self seriously, they keep popping out over and over! Getting so heated thinking about it. Once RNGesus decided that I suffered enough, everything was fine but now I had only a couple of hours to study for an exam the next day.

Mijn advies

DON'T DISCONNECT THE DISPLAY RIBBONS! JUST DON'T! Find the box your iphone came in and wrap a rubber band around the display and the box so it's 90 degrees from the body of the phone. Trust me, you don't want to go through the madness of trying to attach the 4 ribbons to their ports.
