Investing in my soon-to-be iPhone

Mijn probleem

I purchased an iPhone 5s on a local buy and sell app it was originally iCloud locked and would not turn on at all; however. there was no apparent damage to the screen. It also had tempered glass installed and no apparent water damage. The gentleman I purchased the phone from for $50 nonetheless worked with me to remove the iCloud issue and sold me the phone not working as-is for $50. My first thought was OK maybe it's the battery I tried some spare batteries I had for the 5S that a friend had given me but they were both problematic. As my last hope, I ordered a battery replacement from iFixit.com and now I am here speaking to you on the iPhone that I fixed.

Mijn oplossing

The repair went fairly smooth as I am not unfamiliar with taking these things apart. I had to remove the screen and slowly wiggle the old battery out with a plastic spudger tool. The adhesive was still very sticky so I slid the new battery in that I have received from you.The screen powered on and there were a lot of black lines so I immediately disassembled the phone and took off the LCD flex cables and reconnected them. There seems to be no touch or digitizer issues and the phone is working great.

Mijn advies

Be very careful when removing the screen the home/touch ID sensor flex cable. It is very easy to break & from what I understand very difficult to replace.
