Mijn probleem

The battery was not lasting more than a day. I ordered a replacement battery and tool kit.

It went pretty well. The only hitch was that the little gold contact point is held in place only by the upper screw on the battery contact assembly, so when I unscrewed that screw and lifted the battery out, the little piece was not held in place by anything. What a design flaw! It fell into the battery compartment, got stuck to the glue, etc. I consulted the drawing to see how it should be positioned and using tweezers, got it back into place. I got the battery contact plate back on and held the whole thing down. After several attempts, I had to get another set of hands to get the screw correctly positioned on the end of the screwdriver. Once I had that done, I drove the screw home. Then I put on the other screw. Also, I was initially worried that the little thing containing wires that goes between the battery and the little plate would not fit into the compartment, but basically I forced it.

I didn't have any problems with the phone picking up the signal or with the little contact point getting dirty.

Mijn advies

Make sure you have some tweezers to move the contact point back into place. That way you don't touch it and get your finger oil on it.
