Great Product - But I'm not done...

Mijn probleem

My 18-month-old launched her Mom's iPhone 6 in the toilet, and then started crying, haha. I was at work when it happened, but Mom said that when she pulled it out of the toilet, she tried to turn it off but wasn't able to - and then she said it got hot... really hot. So, I figured that the battery obviously shorted, and was hoping the short was either at the battery connector or internal to the battery, and not across one or more components, and figured I'd try to replace the battery because after the rice trick, the phone still wouldn't turn on.

Mijn oplossing

The instructions that came with the kit were great, and the tooling made disassembly quite a bit easier than I anticipated. I replaced the battery, but have the same results as before - the phone won't turn on. So, I'm guessing that wherever that short was - wasn't just across the battery.

Mijn advies

No advise right now - because I'm still sitting on a dead iPhone 6. If I ever figure it out, I'll provide an update.
