Mijn probleem

Touch screen was working intermittently and had a row of squares across the bottom of the screen

Mijn oplossing

Repair went well in general. It'll go faster if you don't grab one of the LCD shield screws too tightly with a tweezer and have it shoot across the room...:) (we did find it). The one issue we had with the iFixit replacement part was the plastic and metal bracket that the proximity sensor fits into was placed too far to the right. This prevented the earpiece speaker from being able to seat properly because the ribbon cable between the camera and proximity sensor was stretched out instead of being able to have a bend in it. The bracket in the new part wasn't easy to pry up and got bent a little. We could've fixed it and used it but found it easier to get the one from the old LCD off and reuse it. Once it was placed in the right spot (as far left as possible) everything went back together and worked great!

Mijn advies

When we were checking things out before putting the front panel completely back on, the home button was very stiff and didn't really click well. After taking it out to double check things we realized that the stiffness was because we hadn't noticed the plastic screen protector on the front and were pushing the button through it... doh!
