Mijn probleem
My brothers hinge was broken—more so the top inner frame was broken near the hinge and needed to be replaced. Sounds easy enough.
Mijn oplossing
Well, the disassembly was easy enough. The reassembly however took 7 hours, filled mostly with frustration. In the end the device didn't turn back on, the next day I took it apart again to find that the top screen flex cable was not pushed in all the way (FFS) after putting it mostly back together now I found out that the top screen while it turns on, stays white. Ordered two for parts DS lites and am hoping to replace the top screen, due to an ever so slight tear in the top screen flex cable, mostly due to not being shown in the guide how to reassemble it and put the cable back into the slot properly.

Following instructions in reverse is not always the proper way to reassemble a complex piece of technology. Even though the guide says so.
