Front Glass Shattered

I dropped my iPhone 3GS just right and the glass shattered.

Mijn oplossing

I bought the front replacement glass, metal spludger, plastic spludger and suction cup. I already had a #00 screwdriver and a heat gun which is nessesary for the removal of the glass.

After viewing the video and downloading the instructions I sat down and got started. The disassembly went without a hitch although it took a long time to get all the glass removed from the plastic. I took my time and bagged each group of screws and labled the bag with the location and step number from where they were removed. The new adhesive strips were a little tricky to get into place. The new glass fit perfect. Reassembly was very easy.

The entire process took about an hour.

I found that using a pair of magnifiers and tweezers helped a great deal to remove all the glass fragments and residual glue. The last thing you want is a small piece of glass hidden under the new glass.
