My Samsung tab 3 7.0 had battery issues. I came home one day and found the screen flashing and the rear of the device warm. It also had an X over the on screen battery icon. I got it shut down the powered on and noticed the battery draining at a very quick pace. After unplugging the charger later it went from 100% to 15% in about 10 minutes just being on and doing some light surfing with no video. It would say it was recharged then in about 10 minutes but was not. I read on the net somewhere about disconnecting the battery then holding down the power button for 10 seconds. Well I did that removing the back cover with tools I got from Amazon that would not likely damage the case. It is a little tricky but not hard to do. Well anyhow that took care of my battery trouble so far. Have used for a few hours today on the same charge including video and seems normal and taking a charge ok. Be careful opening the case and do not use a metal object or screwdriver. You will damage the edge of the case!! Hope this helps someone in need so do not throw those devices away if they need a new battery or just reset the battery as I did! Tom H. USA Ohio.
