Coffee, cream and a touch of Blue tooth
Had my MacBook in my back pack along with my spill proof thermos. Well needless to say it spilled ! I didn't think much got to the Mac, wiped it down quickly and everything worked fine for 3 months. Then my wifi connection became slow and finally was unable to connect. Went to see genius 's at Apple, it was blue tooth card and would need to be replaced. I was told when they opened it there was a brown liquid substance on inside of case and they would no repair . It would have to be sent out to their specialist which charges $450.00 just to open and look. I was told I could not do my self because I would not be able to get parts and too difficult a task. I did Google search and found a brilliant web site, ifixit.com.
Ifixit walked me through the whole process from what part and tools needed to every step from start to finish. If you can read you can fix it and if you can't read just follow the pictures, it's that detailed and easy.
Before you throw in the towel do a little research and you will be amaze at some of the gem of websites that can be found. Ifixit.com is truly a diamond in the rough
