Mijn probleem
The Screen had stopped working. Well it worked but you couldn't see anything, it was all white. It looked like all the display lighting was compressed into one side the screen. This is after nearly a year of the screen developing more and more cracks after an initial drop. The screen just needed to be replaced.
Mijn oplossing
The repair took forever becuase there are too many tiny parts and I have gigantic hands, It was nearly impossible to hold on to and keep track of the teeny tiny screws. I dropped things so often. And I find it unbelievable that i have to take apart the entire phone just to get to the front panel but that's Apple's fault, not iFixit's.
Once I did replace the screen it worked for a minute. Then the bottom half of the screen started wobbling like it was constantly trying to scroll and I turned it off in a panic. When I turned it back on it was a white screen. So after taking it apart and putting it back together by the letter I was given a screen that failed in moments, that's designed obsolescence for ya. Thanks for nothing for the faulty equipment, iFixit.
So after a little over $100 on replacement screens, tools, and rush delivery, I have nothing to show for it but an expensive glorified brick. Now I have to find a way to get a new phone.
Mijn advies
Don't try to fix an iPhone 4S, it's more trouble than it's worth and would probably cost you more than you'd want to spend on a repair in the first place.
But if you're going to try, get a friend with tiny hands to do this for you.
