Mijn probleem

After I got an iPhone 6, I wanted to keep my 5 to use as a run tracker and music player, but the battery had worn down to where it could hardly last for a half-hour run. Time for a trip to the mysterious bowels of the phone to replace the battery. Plus at this point it was expendable and I was curious to see the guts.

Mijn oplossing

After watching the video four or five times, I felt confident about what to expect. Just like the video said, it takes a surprising amount of force to get the glass top separated, the screws are really tiny, and the cables feel fragile. But it played out just like the instructions, and the process only took about 15 minutes.

Mijn advies

Good lighting helps; organize the screws on a sheet like in the video; and pay attention to the --exact-- order of the screws: one of the brackets is held by two screws that are NOT identical.
