I got the phone free off a friend, as he dropped it and completely shattered the touchscreen. I've had a Nexus 4 for a while, but I've wanted to try a Windows Phone, so I decided to try and fix it.
I ordered some parts off eBay, and started working. The video at the top of the guide explains pretty much everything, so there weren't any real problems.
However, the repair kit I ordered came with a pre-cut bio adhesive. In retrospect, I will order a thin strip of double sided glue, because the pre-cut stuff didn't really work out very well, as the cuts were not deep enough. (but then again, part of it was my stupidity).
Getting the glue and glass separated and off the display assembly is A LOT harder and annoying than the video shows. Luckily the kit I ordered provided some glue-removal, but still. I highly, highly recommend fully wrapping the glass in duct tape, like shown in the video, and not just putting a small strip in the middle like I did.
Also, prepare to scratch off glue for at least half-an hour if not more. That $@$* sticks.
