battery was dying within moments of reaching 60% on a three year old phone. I had one hour of talk time from 100% down to 60.

Mijn oplossing

I set aside an hour, and needed about 40 minutes as the tiny screws were next to impossible for old eyes to correctly see. The one non magnetized screw was the most difficult to place in position for reattachment. The step by step was adequate.

Mijn advies

Had I read the comments BEFORE I started, I might NOT have tried it at all. Seems a lot of people have problems. My suggestions... nowhere did I read to be extra careful in prying the screen off the case because the actual glass might separate from the backing plate. I initially pried the glass off, leaving the plate behind and that caused more than a moment of desperation. It would have helped to understand that those two pieces come apart fairly easily, and the pry tool needs to go a tad deeper into the case. Also, if I HAD read the comments first, I would NOT have removed the screen in the step prior to battery removal, and thus might have saved 20 minutes of frustration. I do however understand why you might feel this was the safest way to proceed.
