My iPhone 5 battery would drain within 30 minutes after a full charge.

I'm feeling pretty accomplished right now after successfully installing the new battery. I was hesitant to give this a try, but really didn't want to buy a new phone, as mine was working great other than the battery. For me, the hardest part was reinstalling the cable shields with the very very small screws.

Another review mentioned not drinking coffee before the installation. I did not follow that advice and had shaky hands. Wait until you have time to focus on the project and have steady hands. Also, if possible, I'd skip touching the screen cables/shield, if you're able to prop open the screen enough to just service the battery. When I rescrewed the shield back on, it must not have been on just right and caused the screen above the shield to be discolored (the way screens look when they have pressure on them). I reopened the phone, spent more time trying to make sure that shield was flush, reassembled the phone, and success. Screen is great and more importantly, battery is good (so far). All that to say, if you can make it work for you, I'd avoid touching anything with the screen, and just focus on the battery.
