Broken iPod Hard Drive

Mijn probleem

I dropped by ipod one to many times and got the sad face. Then I let it sit around for 3 years not sure if I should try to fix it, or scrap it. I figured it couldn't be that hard so I went for it and decided to replace the battery while I was at it for good measure.

Mijn oplossing

It is really really hard to open the ipod case, I am not sure I would do it again.

The case did not come apart smoothly, and I was afraid I was going to break everything. After that It was okay

The bumpers are a pain in the neck to reinstall on the new hard drive. It took a while to ease the hard drive back in so that the bumpers fit snugly into place. The i realized I hadn't reattached the logic board cable, so I had to take it out and do it all over again.

Mijn advies

Reattached the logic board cable before putting the hard drive back down!
