The parts supplied by iFixit were very good, the Liberation Kit was essential to deal with the pentalobe security screws in the case, the instructional video and printouts were very detailed and helpful. The Verizon CDMA variation was a little different internally at one point, but otherwise very much as portrayed. The back panel was supposed to slide up a tiny bit, and then lift off, but this one was not moving, at first not at all. Back-and-forth effort eventually got it broken loose so it would move perceptibly, and finally to shift enough that it would lift off. Took awhile, though. Internally, the antenna wire was held down by a screw terminal, not a metal clip that needed to be lifted off, as the video said. Otherwise, very much straight down the line, following instructions and hints. Time was about as suggested, except for the extra hassle with the back panel. But once it was off, it went back on with no problem

Mijn advies

Make very sure you have identified your phone model correctly. Watch the instructional video right through a couple of times, and read all the appropriate instructions and relevant blogs first, before attempting anything. Be prepared for tiny components, especially screws. Good light is essential, and a good magnifier will be invaluable at certain points. Don't even touch anything you don't need to, unless it needs cleaning, Work slowly and very carefully - some errors can be fatal to the device. This is no place for brash greenhorns or lone rangers. One comment about the Liberation Kit. The Phillips screws it contains were shorter than the pentalobe security screws they were intended to replace. The back panel had to be right up snugly in place before they would catch. Now that I have a pentalobe screwdriver, I might put the originals back in, very carefully, of course, so nothing gets stripped out. The are so tiny, and the pentalobe is a very positive drive.
