I fixed the iPhone 5 finally, after two tries.

Mijn probleem

The two year old original battery was not holding a charge for 8 hours . I ordered the new iFixit battery, assembled my tools and took my time. Everything went smoothly and the phone worked normally for 8 hours after the repair and then it refused to charge and left me with a black screen.

Mijn oplossing

Once again I used patience and my iFixit tools to open the phone and disconnect/reconnect each of the connectors until I felt a click with finger pressure. The iPhone 5 now works well and recharges normally and I am very pleased.

Mijn advies

I will take my time and will be especially cautious in opening and closing the many connectors in the phone. I want to feel a click beneath my finger with each re-connection.
