Shattered front glass on 3GS

Apple store wanted $200 to replace front glass!

Repair took about an hour-mostly because glass was so badly shattered I had to heat/pick the bits out one at a time.

With really badly shattered glass the suction cup or duct tape won't work to pull the glass/lcd/frame away from the bottom half. Very light prying with a sharp knife at the bottom popped it right out with no damage. The screws are REALLY small. I put them in a magnetic dish so they wouldn't roll/blow away. Could also stick them to a piece of tape.
