Replacing a Hard Drive on I mac

The computer crashed and would not startup or restore. I suspected it was drive failure but could not be sure

I followed the repair guide here - iMac Intel 20" EMC 2133 and 2210 Hard Drive Replacement by Walter Galen - slowly and methodically. The pics were a little different to what I was seeing but the guide referred to a later model so I figured it out OK. Thanks Walter!!

Mijn advies

Just take your time and don't be scared. I figured humans made these machines, so a human can fix them.

I made some mistakes and left out two small screws out that secure the data cable plug onto the logic board when I put everything back together but I don't think its going to disconnect itself unless I shake it really hard which is unlikely. I also managed to shear off one of the locator pins on the front glass. He's right - only pull it straight up and off. The magnets are really strong so its not easy to put back.
